Happy HUMP Day! Half way there people!
This is a very gloomy Wednesday here in Jersey. Straight out of a Harry Potter movie!! Which I kind of love..shhhhhh.
I haven’t been feeling wonderful but I had to blog today! I have a bit of great news on the injury front. In case you’re curious, I have an MCL sprain, go HERE if you you would like to know more. My Doctor has officially cleared me to begin training again. WOOHOO! Though still painful, my knee is now stable. I’ve been advised not to lift heavy, leg training is minimal, no twisting or turning movements. Haha but at least I can get in there!
So here is my confession. I’m actually kind of scared to start training again. 3 months is the longest span of time I’ve ever gone without serious lifting. Physical therapy has been my saving grace but stepping into the gym has mixed feelings for me. My heart is happy but my muscles are NERVOUS!!
How do I plan to tackle my fears!? By Keeping It Simple. It’s time for Back to Basics. I’ve decided to think about my training as a starting from scratch moment. Whenever someone is recovering from an injury or just discovering the gym for the first time, basic moves are always beneficial. They never go out of style!! This week I’ll post my 3 days of my Back to Basics workouts. ANYONE can follow along. We’re not going to let our nerves stop us from getting STRONGER!!
